Welcome to Treasure House

OCTOBER 2011 UPDATE

(Important Notice Regarding the time that I was in the shop for the last French Antiques Exhibition Sale in August 2011. Please contact me if you left your details with me because, my Iphone contacts list disappeared off my mobile for no apparent reason. I was rushing around so much that I have not backed it up so I lost over 60 contacts from the first 3 weeks of the sale in August 2011! Every second I had I was either delivering, gluing, repairing or polishing!

I am quite meticulous, as you know, but I placed too much trust in the Iphone and there you go. I visited Apple and they confirmed that it is irretrievable!
I need to get the names of the new customers to re register their details for items that they have asked me to find here in France. They should have my business card but just in case I am putting it out there! I wish to apologise to all those customers who were waiting for a call from me and never got one!)

WHO WE ARE?

We have changed the way we operate our business but not the content, always old and interesting! A visit to Meyer's Secondhand and Antiques is like stepping back in time like it always was, except John Meyer junior is now importing Antiques from France. John has moved to Dijon France to live for the current time after marrying Isabelle from Aix en Provence (The south of France). But after hunting down and collecting antiques in Bourgogne (Burgundy) and with more to find he is shipping containers of Antiques back to Sydney and will exhibit at his old shop for a month at a time. Every August there will be an exhibition.

The content of the exhibition will be available to see as a web photo album with prices and descriptions one month before, to allow you to take your time and go through all the items. The stock generally ranges from 20th century (1900-2000) to as early as the 17th century (1600-1700). There will also be photo albums of previous sales so you may like to take the time to see what we have sold in the past. Enjoy and do not hesitate to ask John anything!
